Dr. Rubin Carter (May 6, 1937 - April 20, 2014), aka "The Hurricane", authentic, autographed 16" x 20" photograph. The photograph depicts the famous meeting of Bob Dylan and Rubin Carter in prison, the inspiration for the timeless song "Hurricane", originally written by Dylan (co-written with Jacques Levy) as a protest song about the imprisonment of Carter.
Rubin Carter, fought professionally as a middleweight boxer from 1961 to 1966. In 1966, he was arrested for a triple homicide in the Lafayette Bar and Grill in Paterson, NJ with John Artis. Carter was determined to have been wrongfully convicted after his second conviction was overturned in 1985, and let free in November 1985.
The photograph is in fine condition and was hand signed during a private signing JG Autographs, Inc. held with Dr. Carter in the Spring of 2013 in Toronto, Canada.
